Few take the narrow road. It’s hard. It’s unpaved. It’s unclear where it goes. The purpose may not even be to go anywhere.
Be careful not to walk the narrow road so you can gain the envy of those who walk the wide road. You are just walking the edge of the wide road. You aren’t truly walking the narrow road.
The narrow road leads to the unknown. It’s challenging and difficult. That is the point.
The narrow road leads to self-awareness. It leads to flow. It leads to peace.
The narrow road is a lonely road. Those who walk it must do it on their own. There may be times where you come across others walking their own narrow road. Relish those moments and walk on.
Only you can walk your narrow road. Only you can know where to go.
There will be times where you crave the hustle and bustle of the wide road. That’s ok. You can always find your way back to the wide road. It’s loud and easily found. But you will not find yourself there.
The true destination of the narrow road is to walk so far away that you cannot hear the wide road. Only then will you be able to hear yourself.
To do so, you must steel yourself. You must learn how to be self-sustaining, physically and mentally. You must have faith.
