It can be uncomfortable looking into the darkness. There is a reason that the dragon hides in the cave—it relishes darkness. That dragon is our shadow.
Our shadow hides in darkness. Our shadow is afraid of the light. Our shadow has been shunned.
Our shadow is waiting for us to bring it out of its cave. Our shadow is waiting for us to tell it that it’s ok to come out into the light. Our shadow is waiting for us to tell it that we’re sorry.
When we shine light on our shadow, we are letting it know that we do not fear it. When we shine light on our shadow, we bring our darkness into the light.
May we all shine our light for the world to see. May we light the way for ourselves. May we light the way for others.
